Margaret Slovak Trio

Monks Jazz Club, 501 Pedernales Street, Austin

Guitarist Margaret Slovak will be performing in a trio with the amazing bassist Chris Maresh and the magnificent drummer Masumi Jones for "MidWeek at Monks," a series sponsored by the Austin Jazz Society at this wonderful Austin jazz club. The trio will perform original compositions, in addition to jazz standards and contemporary jazz pieces. Monks is a true listening room! All ages are welcome. Monks does not have a bar, but they do provide water and glasses; you are welcome to bring your own alcoholic beverages. The concert will also be live-streamed!

Margaret is honored to be the solo guitar opening act for the amazing guitarist Laurence Juber at the Annual Oakton Community College Guitar Festival in Des Plaines, IL, a suburb of Chicago! Roddy Ellias will be appearing at the festival on Friday, Oct. 25th. Tickets are $12, general admission and $10, students and seniors. More details will follow.
