Margaret Slovak

Guitarist Margaret Slovak and pianist Terry Bowness will play a duo concert as part of this series presented by the Austin Jazz Society. Margaret and Terry will perform original compositions, along with songs from the jazz repertoire. All ages are welcome! Tickets are $15 for individuals and $25 for families; students are free! For those of you traveling through Austin-Bergstrom Airport, Margaret will be playing a solo guitar show in the passenger terminal at Antone's Restaurant & Bar, near gate 24. Free and open to any ticketed passenger; all ages welcome!

Margaret will be celebrating the vinyl release of her 1989 NYC quartet recording, "For the Moment," which was released on CD in 2007. Margaret will be performing her original compositions on electric guitar, and will be joined by three wonderful Austin musicians: pianist Terry Bowness, bassist Chris Maresh, and drummer Masumi Jones.
